Learning to Relax

by Allie on March 2, 2010

We are in Siem Reap taking a couple days to catch up on writing and take care of logistical stuff. The challenge of two Type A personalities traveling together is that we want to see and do (and eat) everything…and we pack our days so full that we collapse into bed exhausted at the end of each day.

Enough.

We try to remember that the hounds of hell are not nipping at our heels, and if we never see Angkor Wat at sunrise (which requires rising at the painful time of 4:30 am), it’s okay. We’re taking a couple days off to relax and recharge before we go to Phnom Pehn.

Cambodia is amazing and complex, and we hope to have some photos to share tonight. More details about diving in the Similan and Surin Islands too.

Awsome picture… and yeah, takes a few weeks to let go. Makes you realize that a 1 week vacation is useless… two week vacation is taunting… 8 week vacation… just right.

No, no, damn it, you must press on and see and do everything, how else will all us working stiffs get to enjoy your labors?

Like a fine wine making process, you never decide not to add the oak!

I understand you are sweaty and tired, but those with offices and commutes need more, more I say!
